CUNNINGHAM HOUSE – Welcome on Board!

Cunningham House, our local Abbeyfield Society home for the independent elderly, has a few important vacancies on its board of trustees. Joining our board is a great way to contribute to our community, and to the well-being of our local older generation.
We have 2 roles in particular that we are keen to fill. As our new Treasurer you will work closely with our bookkeeper to ensure that Cunningham House keeps careful accounts, regularly reviews performance within our financial controls, and guides the board on all financial matters.

Our new Secretary will help us keep to our governance rules, take and distribute minutes at trustee meetings, and sit at the heart of the board and its strategic decisions.

Neither post requires previous trustee experience, but a willingness to contribute to a financially healthy and well-run home. We have happy residents, brilliant staff, and a wealth of delightful and talented committee members. The board meets 5 times a year, so the time commitment is not onerous.
