Rachel Floodgate, Deputy Manager
When she described Cunningham House, Rachel said “it’s not really like work, it is such a comfortable and homely atmosphere, and the residents are so interesting! I love spending time with them and meeting their families. We have a great team, and I couldn’t ask for a better manager than Lucy”.
In addition to her enthusiasm for our residents, Rachel brings significant professional cookery expertise to the House. After secondary education in her hometown of Guildford, Rachel pursued her interest in cooking, earning her cordon bleu certificate at Tante Marie Culinary Academy. She worked in a range of commercial and personal settings for several years before returning to Tante Marie to support the development of the business.
Rachel works part-time, and her main role is to prepare delicious and nutritious meals for our residents. She also supports the residents if they need help with anything in their daily lives, and handles new resident enquiries that come in during her shifts. Rachel also undertakes weekly H&S checks which help to keep the House and residents safe. She, her husband and their three children live a short drive away from Cunningham House.
