CUNNINGHAM HOUSE

People often ask me “if Cunningham House isn’t a care home, then what is the purpose of it? Why do older people choose to live there?” Our purpose is to provide a safe, supportive community where residents enjoy each other’s company as well as having their own private space. Loneliness and social isolation in older age can speed up the ageing process considerably. A previous very wise old resident (she lived to 104 and was very proud of her ‘wise old’ status!) would tell people not to leave it too late to move to Cunningham House.
